Another Leadership Change at OFCCP

There has been another leadership change at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). OFCCP's "About Us" page shows that Kenneth Wolfe has become head of the agency. Mr. Wolfe succeeds Ashley Romanias, who has left the agency. The biography for Mr. Wolfe on OFCCP's website states that Mr. Wolfe will continue in his role as Director of the Department of Labor's Center for Faith while also taking on the role as Director of OFCCP.
Mr. Wolfe is the third Director of OFCCP since President Trump regained the presidency in 2025. Catherine Eschbach was appointed as Director of OFCCP in March of 2025. When Ms. Eschbach left to take a role with EEOC in September of 2025, Ms. Romanias became Director.
It is not clear what another change in leadership means for OFCCP. There has been little activity at OFCCP during the Trump administration and the administration's budget proposal for federal fiscal year 2027 eliminates OFCCP. According to the Office of Personnel Management, OFCCP currently has only 78 employees. Since Mr. Wolfe will continue to lead the DOL Center for Faith, it is unlikely he will be able to devote extensive time to rebuilding or reinvigorating OFCCP.
