The portal that the Veterans Employment and Training Administration uses for its VETS 4212 reporting is now open. Employers with a federal contract or subcontract of $200,000 or more must file the VETS 4212 report. Instructions for filing the report are found on the VETS 4212 website. Employers have until August 31 to complete this annual reporting.
A budget agreement between the U.S. House and Senate for federal fiscal year (FY) 2026 funds OFCCP at approximately the same level as FY 2025. The act was signed by the President on February 3, 2026. The funding level was surprising in light of recent proposals to eliminate OFCCP.
The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) published its annual revised VEVRAA hiring benchmark for protected veterans hiring, effective July 30, 2025. The revised benchmark is 5.1%, representing a slight decrease from the prior year’s 5.2%.
